Botswana government has given its Olympic medalists fully furnished 2 bed-roomed Apartments with all furniture, paid internet & DSTV.
The team who’s youngest athlete was 19 fully owns the houses all at government costs this is after the team was also given prize money by both government & private companies.
The Minister has said Houses will now be standard Prize for Botswana Olympians in the future. Although with a population of just 2.5 Million Botswana has in recent years been one of Africa’s Athletic’s power houses due to its “Excellence Schools” which are boarding schools with sports infrastructure primarily focused on developing Students Athletes freely for Botswana.
