Numsa and Sacca to march to SAA offices

Numsa and the South African Cabin Crew Association are planning to march to the SAA offices in Kempton Park on Friday.
They are accusing the Public Enterprise’s Department of delaying in saving and restructuring the airline to avoid liquidation.
However, the department says it’s forging ahead with efforts to source funding.
Last month the national carrier approved over 3,000 voluntary severance packages for affected employees.
The employees’ severance packages include one week’s severance pay, a month’s notice period, a 13th cheque as well as leave paid out.
Affected employees include ground staff, pilots, cabin crew, as well as management staff.
