North West police search for prisoners on the run

North West police are searching for four suspects who escaped Rooigrond Correctional Centre near Mahikeng.
The inmates are considered extremely dangerous.
Prison officials are also probing the circumstances around their escape from the prison.
They’re also warning anyone who tries to help the suspects evade rearrest will be prosecuted.
Correctional Services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo said “it is a criminal offence to assist someone to escape from lawful custody such people get charged and prosecuted and if the judge finds them guilty they get to serve a sentence.
“In some cases, you find people outside who provide necessary resources and assistance so as a Department we always make it a point that we leave no stone unturned in this so whoever is implicated that person must be investigated thoroughly so when we take a person forward for prosecution we know we followed everything.
“As a department, we remain concerned and we will not rest until the four are brought back into custody,” he said.
