Minister Nomvula Mokonyane’s husband dies

Environmental Affairs Minister Nomvula Mokonyane’s husband Serge has died.

Mokonyane was hospitalised last month and passed away on Thursday morning at a Johannesburg hospital.

In a statement, the minister and her family request privacy at this moment of grief.

“The family will in due course communicate details pertaining to the funeral and any other memorial events and services,” the statement read.
