Police confident in Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux case

Gauteng deputy police commissioner Tommy Mthombeni says police did comprehensive work leading to the arrest of Operation Dudula leader, Nhlanhla ‘Lux’ Dlamini.

Gauteng police established a task team including crime intelligence, to investigate allegations of housebreaking.

Dlamini was arrested on Thursday night.

He faces charges of housebreaking, theft, and defeating the ends of justice.

Members of Operation Dudula have been protesting, demanding his release.

Efforts to get Dlamini released on bail failed.

Mthombeni says Dlamini is safe in police cells.
