Blade Nzimande wants to give new leadership a chance

The South African Communist Party’s says it’s time for new leadership within the organization according to the view of General Secretary, Blade Nzimande.

He said he’s grateful to have led the party for more than the decades, and that the decision to return will not be up to him.

The SACP gears up for its highly anticipated national conference in July.

Nzimande said: “All what I can say is that 24 years is a long time and I really feel honoured that the SACP has had the confidence in me.”

“I’ve been elected and reelected without any contest…i n the end it’s not me who’ll decide but if you ask me I think maybe it’s time now, not to leave politics, but to give a new leadership a chance.”

South African actor Siyabonga Shibe is seething with anger over drug abuse accusations. This after a YouTuber, only named as Lalela MFT, claimed that Siyabonga had admitted to using drugs and that Uzalo had rescued him when he was down.

But Siyabonga has denied the claims. “These accusations are pissing me off. I’ve never used drugs in my life. In fact, I always warn the youth not to engage in drugs,” he said. Learn More
