New COVID-19 cases surge by 137% in SA

New COVID-19 infections have surged by 137-percent since last week.

Health Minister, Joe Phaahla, says it’s driven by Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.

The three provinces account for 85-percent of all cases.

He’s also concerned about the high positivity rate in the country.
