KwaZulu-Natal: At 11H49 Sunday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N3 in the direction of Johannesburg in the vicinity of Estcourt in the KZN Midlands.
Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision, with one of the cars bursting into flames burning the occupant to death.
Medics assessed the scene and found that an adult female and an adult male had sustained fatal injuries.
Another adult male had sustained serious injuries and was treated on the scene by an Advanced life support paramedic.
Once stabilised the patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances leading up to the collision will be investigated by the relevant authorities who were on the scene.
