Actor Muzi Mthabela has falsified claims that he left Isibaya to pursue a role in an upcoming Shaka Zulu television series Shaka Illembe.
Muzi told TshisaLive that the rumours are not true and that the casting producers have not spoke to him about that.
He left Isibaya this month and fans were disappointed when his character was killed off.
“There is absolutely no truth that I am going to play Shaka Zulu. As far as I know, (producers) Bomb Shelter haven’t cast for the show. We have never talked about me playing Shaka. Nothing is confirmed and I don’t have any offers’
He told the publication that he did indeed leave the show for another show, but it was not Shaka Illembe. He was a bit hesitant to do so however he will be playing lead in his next adventure and is excited.
“I never really wanted to leave the show but a good opportunity came in the form of another show to play the lead, a very good character. It is a very good move for me as an artist. It is important to be able to do other shows so you can grow,” he revealed.
