South Africa, get ready for the return of the people’s favourite sangoma, Mr Bones.
The trailer for the third sequel to Leon Schuster’s funny movies, Mr Bones 3: Son of Bones, has been released and it is hitting cinemas next year.
His last movie, Mr. Bones 2: Back from the Past, was released in 2008.
The new film stars Leon Schuster, Alfred “Shorty” Ntombela, Tumi Morake, Sans Moonsammy, Daniel Janks, Sthandile Nkosi, Jay Anstey and Jerry Mofokeng Wa Makhetha.
The plot for this movie is about Bones teaching his son, Mathambo (played by Alfred Ntombela) to be like him.
South Africans are happy about the third movie and have said they cannot wait to watch. However, some said Leon should be cancelled because his movies are racist, but his fans stood up for him.
Twitter user, Kabelo Mahlobogwane wrote: “I can’t wait to watch Mr Bones 3 featuring our favourite comedians Leon Schuster and Alfred Ntombela. Mr Bones 1 and 2 served classics. I trust this one not to disappoint too.”
“There’s no way Leon Schuster can be cancelled. If you don’t like his movies don’t try to recruit other people into your ideas. He made a black face on his movies in most cases to expose white racists. Most have been waiting for his new release and won’t miss it,” wrote another user, Lele Efkay.
Influencer, Taka Tina wrote: “Leon Schuster is acting on the rule of comedy. Comedians have a freedom of speech. You can’t sue a comedian for making a joke about you. Why do you think comedians getaway with mocking presidents? Blame it on the world’s arts & culture…in the meantime let us mock you.”
