Jose Mourinho would reportedly be interested to take over the reigns at one of Manchester United’s rivals, which could afford him the chance to write English history.
The Portuguese tactician has been without a coaching job since he was sacked by the Red Devils in December but has appeared as a TV pundit quite often recently. He has been linked with a host of sides and reportedly received multiple offers from different clubs as well as national teams.
However, he has rejected all approaches so far and is understood to be waiting for the right job before making his return to the dugout. The Sun now claim, he could be keen to join Arsenal, where Unai Emery is getting more and more under pressure. Mourinho would offer to improve the Gunners leaky defense, a winning mentality and is already living in the city after making London his home.
Having won three Premier League titles with Chelsea and the UEFA Europa League with United, he could be keen to on becoming the first boss to win major trophies at three different English sides. Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be also keeping tabs on the 56-year-old, with Mauricio Pochettino continuously being linked with United and Real Madrid. The latter are a potential destination for the outspoken manager, should Zinedine Zidane’s job come under serious threat.
