Video: Crocodile spotted taking a morning stroll at the Mall

A crocodile was caught on video taking a relaxed morning stroll through a supermarket parking lot.

The footage, captured by Luke Vidal outside a Fort Myers Publix in Florida, shows the crocodile slowly strolling across the pavement before sunrise.

Its huge feet were making a gristly slapping sound as they hit the ground.

According to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officials, the crocodile may have been looking for love.

The New York Post says this may be because spring mating season is now underway.

Crocodile wooing “starts in early April which means more of the reptiles venture out in search of their mates,” FWC officials told Fox 13 News.

“By late June or early July, female crocodiles will lay between 32 to 46 eggs.

Incubation periods for crocodiles take about 60 to 65 days, and baby crocodiles will be born in late August or early September.”
