Ministers outline plans for nationwide lockdown

An Inter-Ministerial Committee responsible for communications, arts and culture and mineral resources and energy will outline their plans for the 21-day nationwide lockdown. Cabinet ministers are expected to tell the nation what their respective departments will be doing to enforce regulations.

South Africa will be on lockdown from Thursday evening. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa has climbed to 709. Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
