Minister Zweli Mkhize welcomes WHO Surge Team in South Africa

Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize will officially welcome the first members of the WHO Surge Team that have arrived in South Africa to bolster the national COVID-19 response.

The World Health Organisation is deploying more than 40 experts in South Africa.

They landed in Johannesburg last week. The experts will offer support in various fields such as surveillance, case management, infection prevention and control at national and provincial levels.
