Our client based in the Johannesburg East Rand area seeks to employ a Microbiologist

Key Areas of responsibility:

Sampling and Analysis of Water
Microbial Limits testing as per approved test methods
Cleaning and maintenance of equipment
Recording of results in appropriate logbooks, under supervision
Media preparation, verification and Growth promotion testing of all in house media
Assists in compilation of raw data analysis
Ensure repeat analysis is kept to a minimum
Reports OOS or OOT and assists in lab investigation
ATCC and in house Culture identification
Executes microbiological projects and testing procedures if required
Assists in housekeeping, lab maintenance, stock control, and other pertinent duties, in accordance with safety, GLP and cGMP

Minimum position requirements:

BSc/NDip in Microbiology or related life sciences
A minimum of 2-year experience in microbiology or similar laboratory
