Paarl Emergency Centre is looking for a Medical Receptionist
Full-time position as a Medical Receptionist at Paarl Emergency Centre.
Requirements:
· Medical Experience essential.
· Grade 12 qualification.
· A Secretarial or a tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
· Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosis.
· Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications.
· Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience essential.
· Knowledge of general administrative and clerical procedures.
· Bilingual in Afrikaans and English
· Professional telephone etiquette
· Friendly, professional, and presentable
· Ability to work under pressure
· Knowledge of WCA patients and documentation will be advantageous.
· Able to work shifts that includes day duty, night duty, and weekends
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Greet patients.
· Register patients according to protocols.
· Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation including medical insurance.
· Maintain and manage patient records.
· Answer incoming calls and deal with client inquiries.
· Transfer calls as required.
· Collect co-pays and payments.
· Management of WCA patients
· Ensure reception area is well maintained, neat and clean.
· Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
· Administration duties.
· Invoicing and receipting.
· Provide patient support and support to medical personnel.
· Other tasks as per requirements from GP Practice
Salary offered: negotiable
Working hours: Shift work, includes day duty, night duty, and weekends. Average of 45 hours per week.
