Requirements:

Matric/Grade 12/NQF Level 4 is essential
Relevant recognized Fitter and Turner Trade Qualification (Section 13) is essential OR
Proof of recognised completed apprenticeship contract AND
NTC 2 (Relevant Trade Theory) qualification is essential
Minimum of 3- 5 years working experience as an Artisan in a Processing environment is essential
Experience based at a Concentrator will be advantageous
Valid driver’s license (Code 08) is essential
Legal knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act is essential
Duties:

Supervise mechanical maintenance activities
Attend to callouts with regards to mechanical breakdowns
Maintain control of engineering workshop and stores
Control and order stock for all parts, equipment and materials required
Design basic mechanical components, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
Analyse and solving mechanical problems
Commission assembly/machines
Write technical reports
