Huge blow for The Wife viewers as actress Mbalenhle Mavimbela (Hlomu) leaves the show

One of the hit shows in Mzansi, The Wife will be making some drastic changes as Mbalenhle Mavimbela is reportedly leaving. The talented actress who played the much-loved Hlomu, is said to be leaving the show, as – according to Phil Mphela – shooting the upcoming third season would not have been ideal for her.
The Showmax telenovela started out with the original wife, Mahlomu and viewers grew fond of her. Mbalenhle embodied the character so much that people cannot stand the pssibility of a new Mahlomu, should the producers decide to recast her.
The entertainment commentator broke the news of Mbalenhle’s exit and speculated that there is a personal issue that restricts her from shooting the upcoming season.
“The Wife without Mbali will be a tad strange because she really dazzled in this role. The move could also be temporary, should they get more seasons. If they don’t recast in her absence, I would want to see her return,” said Phil.
Phil, who seems to know the reason for her exit, did not want to divulge much about the reason for her exit but said she is not in a place to shoot, “Can’t say. Not my place. Let’s just say, shooting was not gonna be ideal for her right now.”

Viewers are speculating that Mbalenhle might be pregnant as she played the pregnant role quit convincingly well in the last few episodes on The Wife.
Just when people were getting excited that they will finally get to experience the real version of The Wife, which is taken directly from the book, this major change takes place.
