Mzwakhe and Mavis met at a party, and he immediately took a liking to her. However being friends with her Uncle, he felt he had to ask for permission first. Due to his good reputation in the community, they gave him the go ahead! The next day, he went to visit her and he was invited into the family home and they have been inseperable ever since! The couple now have 3 children together,
Mavis says she loves that he is a loving and kind man, and Mzwakhe says he likes that she is a homebody that enjoys the comfort of her home. He also says she is a hardworker and caretaker.
This was extremely important as he fell ill and after an operation on his brain, his speech, hearing and mobility was affected. He was wheelchair bound and Mavis helped take care of him during this tough time! Everyone expected Mavis to leave him for another man, who would also be able to provide for her financially but she didn’t.
