The SABC Board has terminated the contract of its COO, Chris Maroleng (also known as Maroleni).
Maroleng was found guilty on three charges following a disciplinary process.
“After due consideration of the findings and recommendations of a disciplinary process, the board resolved to terminate the contract of employment of its Chief Operations Officer, Mr Chris Maroleni, with immediate effect,” the SABC said in a statement.
Among the charges, Maroleng was accused of recommending his friend, former SABC Acting Group Executive Marcia Mahlalela, for a job with SARU.
That’s despite her resigning from the SABC with a disciplinary hearing pending.
