An industry leading market research consulting firm that provide professional services including Demographic Feasibility Studies, Site Evaluations, Gap Analysis, Customer Data Analysis, Shopping Centre Research etc is seeking to employ a GIS Market Analyst with experience in Retail & Health sector Feasibility Studies and Town/Development Planning to join their consulting team based in Randburg, Johannesburg. The company consult to sectors that include Retail, Property Management & Development, Healthcare, Education & various other commercial based businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven & dynamic Market Analysts with experience in the commercial GIS consulting environment, Town Planning, Market Research environment or any other relevant field.
Responsibilities
Market research and analysis (Spatial and non-spatial data)
Compilation of research reports & feasibility studies
Presenting results & reports to clients
Client account management
Past experience
Spatial market research, analysis and reporting
Drafting of feasibility studies
Data collection (Desktop and field work)
Mapping & geo-coding
Spatial and non-spatial data analysis
Qualifications required
At least a degree in Geography / GIS / Geo Informatics / Town Planning or similar. Other courses are also acceptable but the candidate must have relevant GIS experience
Min 3 years’ relevant professional work experience is a must
Plus minus 5 to 8 years’ experience preferre
Skills / Abilities required
Solid ESRI GIS analytical experience
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
Strong spatial orientation
Methodical thinker
Sound mathematical capabilities
Personal Attributes required
Accurate, Analytical, Dedicated, Flexible, “Street-wise”, Team player, Be able to adapt to change, Self-motivator, Like working with people, Good communication skills and presentable.
Johannesburg based candidates will be preferred, but not essential.
Salary
R20k and R35k, depending on qualifications and work experience.
