Adrienne Watkins, the fiancée of the late Hot 102.7 FM radio presenter Mark Pilgrim is said to have recently expressed that she still misses him nine months after his death – the seasoned radio presenter lost his battle with stage four lung cancer at 53 years old on 5 March 2023.
Adrienne Watkins expressed her profound sense of loss on her social media page, TshisaLIVE reported. Taking to her feed, she was quoted as saying, “I miss you, I miss us.” Earlier this year, in an Instagram post, Watkins also poured her heart out over her pain of losing her Pilgrim. The duo got engaged weeks before the slain radio presenter died. Pilgrim had documented his health journey on social media before his death and Watkins was right by his side in his final moments.
Earlier this year, via an Instagram post, Watkins expressed her grief after losing her fiancé. “To my beautiful Mark, this is not goodbye but just farewell. The last three years have been the most incredible years of my existence. From our very first date, you took my breath away and it felt like something out of a famous movie scene. From the very beginning, I knew this was the love I had been waiting for. You are what fairy tales are made of,” she penned.
Mark Pilgrim was an established television host and radio personality, popularly known for being a DJ on 5FM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, Hot 91.9 FM, and Hot 102.7 FM. He also hosted the first season of Big Brother and Power of 10, All Famous Birthday reported. He was reportedly diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1988. Before his death, He spent a nerve-wracking 64 days in the hospital getting treatment and proposed to Adrienne Watkins shortly after he was discharged.
