COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on the lives of many people and in the running of many businesses. This past weekend, media personality and entrepreneur Maps Maponyane opened up about the effect which the pandemic has had on his famous burger establishment known as Buns Out.
His honesty comes after a fellow Twitter user asked him a question this past Saturday about how the pandemic has affected his business. In response, the star mentioned that Buns Out has honestly been horribly affected, and that this has generally been a devastating period.
However, he also assured the tweep that while things have been hard, they hope it will get better and that they have strategic ideas which will hopefully help the business survive this difficult period.
Buns Out has previously had to shut its doors a few days before the nationwide lockdown as a result of the escalating number of COVID-19 cases and the pandemic requiring many businesses to shut their doors.
However, the establishment has been operating again under strict lockdown regulations which Maps reckons do not make a lot of business sense if carried out for a long time.
The truth? Horribly. It’s been devastating, but we have faith & hope it will get better. The reality is that we can’t carry on like this for too long for it too still make business sense, but we have a couple strategic ideas that will hopefully mitigate that. Thanks for asking🙏🏾 https://t.co/kY2LT3sHbu

In a ranking done by Bloomberg in February, Buns Out was named one of the best burger restaurants in the world. Even with this achievement in the bag, the 2019 burger restaurant is a new and small business with much untapped potential.
Offering tasty burgers that are loved by Mzansi, we hope that their strategic ideas are enough to help them survive this pandemic.
