Manchester United to face Barcelona in Champions League – Predictions

Now that the international break is over players are back to their clubs and focusing on that important league game. The Premier League is already heating up or rather is already in full swing and we are enjoying every moment of it thanks to DStv and Supersport. In the middle of all those preparations for the next league game and top 4 finish to the Premier League for teams like Manchester United, they should not forget their Uefa Champions League match against Barcelona. As per many betting sites, their team still have solid chances to make this season pretty successful at the end.

Manchester United have been playing very well but have of late lost focus. United lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers twice in a space of 2 weeks and that was after they were beaten by Arsenal in the League. I wonder if we can blame it on the new permanent coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær as he is not experienced or it’s just that the players are tired or maybe it injury woes.

With their poor form in mind, I feel Man United will not provide a proper challenge to LaLiga giants Barcelona who are 8 points clear on top of the LaLiga table. But that’s just me, I wonder what your predictions are to the upcoming Uefa Champions League Quarter Final match between the Red Devils and Barça?

Will Ole Gunnar Solskjær manage to disappoint Barcelona? Or will the experience of Ernesto Valverde play an important part in this tricky Champions League encounter? Those are the questions most of us will ask before we can make our predictions. But before you write off Manchester United, remember how they disappointed Paris St German in their backyard. We know Wolves has been a thorn in United’s Top 4 finish but will their performance with them affect their performance with Barcelona in the Champions League.

All those questions will surely be answered on Wednesday the 10th of April 2019 when Man United will play hosts to Messi’s Barcelona. The return match will be on the 16th of April at Camp Nou. Will it be Pogba and Rashford who will be celebrating or Messi and Suarez will be victorious?

With Real Madrid out of the Champions League, I have a feeling Messi will be out in full force to prove why he deserves the Ballon d’Or award in 2019 ahead of Luka Modric who took it last year. Will Manchester United’s back four manage to stop those runs from Messi and knock out Barça ending Messi’s chances of the Ballon d’Or award this year? Questions that we can only get answers to in a few days time.
