Drama at Show as Mampintsha dumps his ex-bandmate, Danger & walks away with Babes Wodumo

Big NUZ’s Danger claims that Mampintsha deprived him of an opportunity to perform at the popular year-end function Fact Durban Rocks on New Year’s Eve.

The controversial musician claims that Mampintsha decided to follow Babes Wodumo and ditched their reunion performance, instead of waiting for their turn to be on stage. Danger was eager to perform on stage with his former bandmate, especially considering that it would have marked a Big Nuz comeback despite the fact that the group which only has 2 members left.

Mampintsha, Danger and Babes Wodumo

According to Isolezwe, Mampintsha arrived late for his set and had demanded to be put in other acts time slots. Once this request wasn’t granted, he ditched the show altogether, proving to be the reason for missing the performance with Danger.

After organisers refused to allow Mampintsha to overtake other artists, he decided to not wait for their (Big NUZ) set and decided to leave the whole event with Babes Wodumo as they were booked to perform elsewhere.

DJ Tira commented on the matter and said that their performance was not successful because of time constraints.

“They missed their opportunity to perform on stage. According to the event planning, Samthing Soweto was the following act after Big NUZ. It is not easy to go away with the event structure as the times were planned thoroughly,” said Tira

Tira also commented on the reunion of Big NUZ, saying that Danger should let go of the idea of reforming the group as it is clear as daylight that Shimora is not prepared to go back to Big NUZ.

“He is busy marketing his Mampintsha Live DVD, which indicates that he has his own plans with his music career,” he proclaimed.

The duo were paid prior their performance and Tira had said they will discuss a way forward on how the money will be paid back as it is a large sum to just go to waste.
