The FBI predicts that over 700 000 cars are stolen annually in the USA.
This after California cops confiscated roughly 35 luxury cars that had been “fraudulently acquired from naive local dealerships”.
Carscoops reports that the raid followed a two-month investigation into the theft of a large volume of luxury cars.
Cops didn’t go into much detail, but noted that a search warrant was served in the San Fernando Valley last week.
It led to the recovery of multiple stolen cars including an Aston Martin Vantage, Bentley Continental GT and Corvette C8.
The California highway patrol didn’t release a full list, but noted that other recovered cars came from brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Lexus, and Porsche.
Investigation is ongoing, but the search resulted in one arrest, the seizure of a firearm and discovery of an indoor dagga grow operation with well over 400 plants.
