High-end luxury lodge in the Waterberg area is looking for a Lodge Anchor to assist in ensuring the ultimate guest experience at the Lodge, maintaining the “at home” personal attention levels. Daily and relief duties include a rotation between Stock Control, Admin, Service and Reception.

Meet with the General Manager and Hotel/Lodge Manager as required and update on property operations.
To ensure effective departmental meetings take place, accurate minutes are taken and follow ups completed.
To assist in the event that one of the HOD positions is vacant.
To keep the property innovative in its guest experience and up to date with both competitor offerings and current trends in the hospitality industry.
To be readily available to deal with all guest queries and complaints.
Ensure all guest information available is collected and communicated prior to arrival.
To co-ordinate an effective and efficient payroll management/resource allocation through establishing a flexible work force throughout the department.
To set annual operating targets, this will form part of the annual business plan.
Obtain details of department cost daily and direct your services to maintain budget or decrease cost while still delivering service to standard.
Ensure the stock control, stock take, and requisition procedures are strictly followed according to par levels and property and company standards, ensuring
accuracy.
Maintain discipline in the department according to company standards and report deviations to your Head of Department/Management.
To follow, monitor, manage, train, review and implement performance standards to establish and maintain a streamlined and efficient operation.
To ensure that departmental operations and training manuals are prepared and updated.
Monitor, manage, and control leave days and overtime according to company standards.
Have a basic knowledge of the local legislation and labor law.
To support staff needs in other departments based on the priorities and anticipated business levels.

Requirements:

Grade 12 (advantageous)
Sound experience in Hospitality positions minimum 2 years
Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite
Sound experience and proven track record of having made targets
Sound knowledge of customer service in a luxury environment
Sound knowledge of product and supply
Valid code 08 driver’s license (essential). Apply Now
