Load-shedding disrupts matric exam

Load-shedding has affected a number of pupils who were writing their matric examinations in various schools around Cape Town.

Exams kicked off on Wednesday but pupils at Tygerberg High School had to wait hours before they could begin writing their Computer Application Technology exam.

Eskom announced that Stage 2 load-shedding would commence on Wednesday between 9am to 11pm.

The power utility says the load-shedding is due to a shortage of capacity.
