Lesufi urges restraint in Forest High murder case

Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has warned pupils at Forest High School not to seek revenge.

He was speaking at a memorial service for Daniel Makwela (16) who was stabbed outside the Johannesburg school last week.

Lesufi’s urged everyone to allow the law to take its course.

A 19-year-old Grade 11 pupil, Mohammed Mwela was arrested in connection with the stabbing.

Mwela is claiming he was defending himself against a gang and says the murder weapon belonged to the deceased.

He appeared in court on Monday and was granted bail.
