Leon Schuster’s mother, Jessie has died
Rest In Peace messages have been pouring in from all over South Africa for the Schuster family following the passing of Jessie Schuster – the mother of veteran actor and movie producer Leon Schuster. According to reports, Jessie died from old age and organ failure on Sunday 8 May 2022.
Mr Bones star Leon Schuster is currently mourning the loss of his 100-year-old mother Jessica “Jessie” Schuster who died on Sunday last week.
Leon’s brother, Johann Schuster confirmed the news with Netwerk24, explaining that Jessie died while at home in Bloemfontein with her family on Mother’s Day.
Leon, who also spoke to the publication, shared that he was “all cried out” and simply cannot cry anymore over the loss of his mother.
Shortly before her passing, Leon headed to Facebook to share that his mother was “suffering on her last legs”. He also shared that it was heartbreaking to watch.
“I am currently in Bloem where my old 100-year-old Mother is in severe suffering on her last legs. Heartbreaking. Gone is her beautiful smile, but this morning… ..then I cheered my sister-in-law for her Psalm 23 reading and this is the ONLY time she opens her eyes and I see a twinkle in her eye,” he wrote in Afrikaans.
Meanwhile, people across the country have shared their condolences with the Schuster family in various social media posts.
