Last week, Sunday World published an extract from playwright Mbongeni Ngema’s ex-wife, Xoliswa Nduneni-Ngema’s memoir titled Heart of A Strong Woman, written by seasoned author Fred Khumalo
The extract published by the paper details how the current CEO of Joburg City Theatres klapped Sarafina actress Leleti Khumalo after discovering she was having an affair with her then-husband. The extract also details the abuse Xoliswa suffered abuse at the hands of Mbongeni.
Poet Lebo has now spoken out on how Mbongeni’s “abuse is legendary” yet he keeps getting work and lifetime achievement awards.
