KZN residents urged to be cautious

Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi is asking residents in KwaZulu-Natal to not put themselves in harms way.

Kubayi was visiting Inanda, where a tornado struck sending some homes flying like paper.

Emergency services rescued two people trapped inside an overturned container.

There’s also been extensive damage to roofs and power cables but the full extent of the devastation is yet to be fully determined.

Kubayi says climate change is real and the department is working to mitigate the impact of freak disasters.
