Kyle Walker was forced to go in goal after Manchester City’s replacement keeper Claudio Bravo was sent off in the second half of their Champions League clash against Atalanta. The Premier League champions appeared to be heading for a drama-free night in Italy on Wednesday when Raheem Sterling put the side ahead after just seven minutes.
But things started to go wrong when Gabriel Jesus missed the chance to double the lead from the penalty spot and then Ederson was withdrawn at the half-time break with an injury.

Bravo came on and had virtually nothing to do until the 81st minute when he rushed off his line to close down Josip Ilicic, only to bring down the Atalanta attacker. The referee showed the Chilean keeper a red card and, with no more shot-stoppers on the bench, Pep Guardiola was forced to bring on defender Walker in place of Riyad Mahrez to don the goalkeeper gloves. He was called into action immediately, with Ruslan Malinovskiy taking the resulting free-kick, and he did well to stop the effort and gather it at the second attempt.

Police Minister Bheki Cele says politicians must be called to account to residents when there is a protest instead of calling police to rein in violent protesters.
Cele was speaking on Wednesday at the ongoing Popcru (Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union) conference in Durban on Wednesday. Addressing the union, Cele lamented that fighting crime in some parts of the country, more so in informal settlements, was risky because of unstructured settlements where houses are not correctly numbered.
