Video: Marriage proposal at Kwa Mai Mai breaks the internet

Kwa Mai Mai is famous for its delicious skop. So when Lebohang Mokwena took his girlfriend for a meal on Saturday, 5 June, she didn’t suspect that he would propose.

His girlfriend couldn’t hold back the tears and wept.

While Lebogang was down on one knee, people screamed, “Yes, yes, yes”, encouraging the woman to accept the proposal.

There was ululation and dancing when she finally said yes.

The SunTeam was there to witness it all. Lebohang said he was over the moon and had been planning this for a long time.

“I was waiting for the right moment.

“I wanted it to be special,” he said.

People called the proposal the skop proposal, but Lebogang said he didn’t care as long as his woman was happy.

The publication tried to get hold of the girlfriend, but she could not be found.

One of the witnesses, Zabalaza Mbatha (25) said: “This is beautiful.

“I wish my man could also do something like this for me.”

She said men these days were no longer romantic.

“If I find myself that one man who will do this for me, I will hang on to him until death do us apart,” she said.
