KwaZulu-Natal: At 11H37 Sunday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a falls at the Kloof Gorge in Kloof Durban West.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 39-year-old female slipped on a rock sustaining serious head and neck injuries.
Upon arrival, a team of rescuers comprising of Netcare 911, Rescue Care ambulance service and Rescuetech set out to find the patient who was found at the given location next to the Molweni River.
The patient was assessed on the scene and found to have sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilize her.
Once stabilized and packaged the team hiked for almost two hours to get to the Netcare 3 helicopter ambulance that was called to airlift the patient to the hospital.
