Charl Kinnear murder accused back in court for bail application

Secure our client or face a mistrial, that’s what lawyers for Zane Kilian are threatening if a secure court can’t be found.

The Bishop Lavis Court where the case is currently being heard, poses a security risk, because it is located in an area with high gang activity and violence.

The former rugby player will make his fourth appearance in the dock on Wednesday. Kilian is implicated in the death of top cop Charl Kinnear.

His bail application was delayed after Judge Bruce Langa, decided to move the hearing to a regional court. Kilian’s lawyers argue his constitutional rights have been violated.
