Six alleged instigators of last week’s violence and looting have been arrested.
Three of them have already appeared in court but were remanded in custody.
Acting Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni made the announcement at a daily briefing on Monday.
The suspects are facing charges of inciting violence.
