Actress and musician, Khanyi Mbau, was enthralled by the social media rivalry between fast-food chains, Nando’s and KFC, so much so, that she actively commented on the back-and-forth between the two.

Wednesday, 18 March 2020, saw Nando’s taking a dig at KFC’s slogan, with Khanyi Mbau expressing interest in the rivalry between the two. Khanyi shared the exchange between the popular chicken fast-food chains on her Twitter timeline. The feud started when Nando’s alluded to KFC’s slogan in a promotional image, stating, “Turns out licking fingers in [not] good.” The subversion is a reference to the coronavirus pandemic, with KFC responding with an equally fiery comment.
