Introduction
The main purpose of the job is the Cleaning of trucks and tankers as well as all other cleaning activities in and around the wash bay.

Specification
Key deliverables and outputs:
1. Perform internal and external washing activities for tankers and tanker hatch covers, valves, pipes and manifolds by using high-pressure water, detergent and steam as well as brooms, rags and other approved equipment
2. On-time washing of all trucks and tankers externally and internally.
3. Wash Food Grade tankers and tanker compartments by using the prescribed methods and procedure
4. Dry each tanker and compartment by using approved equipment and air drier
5. Perform pre-inspection before calling your supervisor for the final inspection
6. Wash and clean wash bays by using water, detergent, and brooms
7. Keep the areas around the wash bay clean, tidy and safe by sweeping and hosing dirt and rubbish
8. Ensure the correct and safe operation of equipment by reporting any fault or malfunction to the supervisor on duty
9. Will always use the prescribed safety and protective clothing and equipment that is required with the particular job that is being performed
10. Responsible for the housekeeping on and around Wash bay area
11. Will always adhere to BWT Rules and Regulations
12. Will adhere to shift starting times and lunch breaks
13. Will attend all SHEQ training courses as supplied by management
14. Responsible for keeping the effluent plant in good working order
15. Reporting of any defects immediately to shift supervisor
16. Ensure the image of the Barloworld Transport is kept to a high standard.
17. Adhere to all relevant legislative, system, facility and company requirements (i.e. Environmental, OHS Act, ISO 22000, Food Safety 22000 and any relevant RISK protocols)

Requirements:

1-2 years’ experience in a wash bay environment
Experience in a food-grade wash bay environment will be advantageous
Minimum Grade 10 (Completed)
Good communication skills (Read and Write in English)
Physically able as work involves manual labour
