Health Minister Joe Phaahla visits Kalafong Hospital

Health Minister Joe Phaahla says the protest at Kalafong hospital in Pretoria is unnecessary. Phaahla visited the hospital following action taken there by Operation Dudula members.

It’s believed they’ve been blocking undocumented foreign nationals from accessing hospital services. Phaahla admits the healthcare sector is under pressure but condemns those who take matters into their own hands.

Singer Moneoa Moshesh was allegedly detained and held against her will for 2 hours by the SAPS. During the 2 hours, she was apparently asked to delete her Instagram videos, this is according to City Press.

Moneoa clarified that she was not arrested at the Sandton Police Station, but was rather asked to delete the videos where she details her alleged abuse. Learn more
