
Former Deputy Chief Justice Dikgang Moseneke recommends local government elections be postponed.
He recommends the elections take place no later than February 2022.
Moseneke said it would not be possible for elections to be free and fair in October.
He says the risk of spreading COVID-19 is too high as people will gather.

Professor Karim presented to the report now presented by Justice on why elections are so dangerous in a country where very little vaccines have been administered. He says elections are likely to cause a resurgence in cases and when elections do proceed they should be outdoors.
