An excellent opportunity exists for a Junior Accountant at a well-established firm. The firm is seeking to permanently employ a Junior Accountant to their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full accounting function and related duties for their clients.
The firm operates within a large variety of industries, ranging from auditing, accounting, tax administration and planning, business and transactional consulting, secretarial services, insurance, wills, estate planning and administration.
Duties:
Client liaison.
Data capture
Sorting and filing of financial records.
Monthly pastel processing up to trail balance.
Monthly bank reconciliations.
Monthly journal entries.
VAT reconciliations (assistance with income tax and provisional tax submissions).
Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basis.
Requirements
Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Accounting will be an advantage.
Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pastel, Sage One, Sage One Payroll, Xero, Caseware).
Experience in VAT, PAYE and Income tax (SARS returns).
Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills.
Salary – R12k – R16k, negotiable and depending on experience.
