Jub Jub reveals he regrets his past

Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye says he regrets his actions in the past, but he doesn’t regret going to prison. The South African rapper has made headlines several times over hideous reasons which has landed him in court and prison.

On the final episode of the Showmax original series, Unfollowed hosted by Thembekile Mrototo, the Uyajola 9/9 host speaks about his past life and lessons learned.

In 2010, Jub smashed his car into a group of pupils in Soweto, killing four of them and wounding two others. This event made him spend years in prison, and here is what he had to say about his prison experience.

“What you think of prison, it’s a thousand times and millions of times more. It was bad, and the prison didn’t care whether you were Jub Jub or not. It’s bad,” he said.

Jub further revealed lessons learned that made him a better person.

“It made me a better person. It made me wiser. I became closer to amadlozi wam and I became closer to God. Prison is the only place that forced me to be alone, to reconnect because of the life I was living I had no time for what my ancestors wanted me to do, I had no time with God and it just brought me much closer.”

“I regret all my actions, the accident. I don’t regret going to prison,” he added.
