Joyner Lucas Teams Up With NBA YoungBoy For New Single

Joyner Lucas and NBA Youngboy team up for their Leo Son, ADHD Productions, and Storm-produced single “Cutt U Off”.

Since arriving on the scene, Joyner Lucas has built a reputation as one of the best rappers in music today. Period. But there were still questions about whether he would ever rise to the level of stardom and recognition his talents warranted, especially in an era in hip-hop that values “vibes” or lyrics.

Well, through a combination of elite bars and flow, memorable self-directed visuals, viral tracks like “I’m Not Racist”, remixes of popular songs like “Gucci Gang”, “Look Alive”, “What’s Poppin?”, and “Bank Account” and collabs with the likes of Future, Eminem, Lil Baby, Will Smith, Chris Brown, and Ashanti, Lucas went from a talented Boston area rapper to a star.

Now Lucas is back with another mega collab under his belt. Last night, he dropped his new single “Cut U Off” with arguably his most unexpected feature yet―NBA Youngboy. On the track, the two rap about having to cut ties with people with bad intentions.

“And you used to be my dawg, now I gotta cut you off
Cut you off, cut you off
And I know that I’ll be better off
Better off, yeah (Joyner, yeah)
Fuck it, yeah, I had to cut you off (Woah)
Cut you off, cut you off, and I know that I’ll be better off
‘Cause I’m a boss (Ayy), the fuck you thought? (Fuck you thought?)
Ah, yeah, yeah”

Produced by Leo Son, ADHD Productions, and Storm, the bouncy production, featuring heavy drums and a guitar melody, is straight fire. With one of his best beats yet and a running mate like NBA Youngboy, this may end up being one of his biggest songs in years.
