Joburg Water working to restore supply
Johannesburg Water says it will take 24 to 48 hours for water supply to return to normal.
A number of Joburg residents have woken up to no water on Thursday morning.
If follows Rand Water’s 54-hour maintenance programme in Vereeniging.
On Wednesday night, Johannesburg Water said it was monitoring critical and low levels at several reservoirs.
Hursthill, Crown Gardens, Forest Hill, and Linden are critical while Northcliff, Brixton, Roodepoort, and Soweto have low levels.
Johannesburg Water says it’s in the process of moving raw water into the purification plants and then into the reservoirs.
