Itumeleng Khune doesn’t have the best of luck when it comes to love From Minnie to Sbahle and now Sphelele, Khune has been through the most – He is about to become a father and has started the process of taking Sphelele. Itumeleng Khune, Bafana Bafana and Kaizer Chief’s goalkeeper, is no stranger to monopolising tabloids with his controversial and complicated love life. He was romantically involved with fitness bunny, Sbahle Mpisane. The serious relationship Khune had with Minnie Dlamini did not work out.

Minnie thought her and Khune would eventually get married. When things came to an end, Khune received criticism from the public. It did not take long for Khune to move on with his life. He has since fallen in love with a model, Sphelele Makhunga. Early this week, the talk on everyone’s lips was a photo Sphelele shared on Instagram showing her all ready for her makoti duties.

The snapshot characterised Sphelele wearing a doek and a small tartan blanket. This is a symbol of an African tradition indicating respect for a bride. Soon after the photo was shared, the couple had an abundance of congratulatory message flooding in on their social media timelines. There is also talk that Sphelele might be pregnant. There was a picture posted by Khune himself with him touching his partner’s belly, so there is the possibility that the couple will be parents in the near future.

Itumeleng found himself in the middle of a social media storm when was blamed for allegedly snatching Sphelele from DJ Tira’s son, Junior Khathi.
