Main Purpose of Job:
To support team the risk, ethics and anti-corruption teams in their delivery of services to internal clients
Qualifications & Experience
Required
National Diploma in Legal, Risk or Compliance or ethics/anti-corruption and studying towards undergraduate degree
2 years active experience within the Legal, Risk and Compliance or related function
Preferred
3 Year Undergraduate Legal or Risk qualification
2 years’ at Junior Consultant level within the function
Key Performance Areas:
Strategic Impact
Review complex legislation from various jurisdictions critically and map the requirements back to a central repository of controls.
Scrutinize existing business processes and suggest creative solutions for Africa wide Risk, Ethics and Anti-Corruption interventions.
Support management in the implementation of change initiatives when required.
With minimal guidance, support the team in the delivery of services to clients in line with the defined RIL strategic objectives.
Develop relationships with peer groups in the client business in order to understand their business to provide the required support from a Legal, Risk and Ethics perspective.
Participate in team efforts to find solutions to address issues in area of expertise that may enhance/renew service offerings to client.

Ethics Specific Requirements:
Launch, analyse and report on the annual ethics survey
Maintain the Ethics risk register
Monitor annual declaration process
Support and monitor existing integrity imperatives
Anti-Corruption Requirements:
Research Financial Crime(AC) case law to ensure active compliance with legislation
Research Anti Money Laundering legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
Review and understand AC operating procedures – identifying gaps to recommend solutions.
Prepare compliance matrixes based on AML research
Risk Requirements
Support the annual Enterprise Risk Framework process through active engagement with clients, collating information, analyse data/results and recommend possible outcomes.
General risk support – Implement risk initiatives in line with member firm Standard 4. RIL innovation, risk monitoring, Portfolio Risk Review, Risk Reporting
Assess Risk and make recommendation to direct manager on project and/or client request.
Brands Events management
Manage and monitor ongoing brand events and claims against Firm.
Interpret and assess potential impact arising from brand events independently.
Recommend possible solutions to direct manager.
