Netcare 911 Paramedics rush to save injured dog

Gauteng: Tuesday evening, one of our Netcare 911 paramedics pulled off to the side of the road after noticing an animal on the side of the N14.

After closer inspection, it was noted that a dog had been struck down by a motor vehicle on the N14.

The Pittbull-cross adult female was found to have sustained serious injuries.

Without a second thought, an available ambulance as well as the Netcare 911 specialized Rescue Unit was dispatched to the scene, who arrived in a matter of minutes.

While the dog was made comfortable, a local vet was contacted regarding the incident and informed of the ambulances pending arrival.

After safely loading her into the ambulance, she was rushed to the vet, who immediately rushed doggo into the surgery.

After a long battle by all involved to save the dog’s life, she sadly passed away.
