Twelve young boys have been rescued from an illegal initiation school in Sedibeng in a joint operation by the South African Police Service and Cogta.
No arrests have been made as yet.
The boys were reported missing by their parents and are now being processed at the nearest police station before they’re returned home.
Currently, initiation is considered illegal in Gauteng, but bogus schools are still operating.
Cogta is on a mission to close these bogus schools down.
