It’s been a well-kept secret – but the cat is now out of the bag. The publication can reveal there’s a bun in the oven for popular Cape Town actress Inathi Rhayi.
The actress, who has worked in productions including Interrogation Room, Montana, Stokvel, Isikizi and Tango,is said to be four months pregnant.
Her husband, Afro-pop musician Zandisile Rhayi, confirmed the news to the People’s Paper and expressed his delight.
“We had intended to keep it a secret. But now that you are enquiring, I can confirm that indeed my wife is expecting. It has always been our wish to extend our family and have one last child, and we have been trying for a while. We are both over the moon and can’t wait to hold our bundle of joy,” Zandisile said.
The couple already has two children together and Zandisile admitted that despite their busy schedules, parenting was the role they both cherished the most.
“Our children are the apple of our eyes. We always make time for them, despite the demanding industry that we’re in. We are ready and excited to welcome the new addition to our family,” he added.
Meanwhile, Inathi said she appreciated the supportive role that her hubby was playing.
“From the moment we found out, he has always been supportive and a pillar of strength. I’m grateful to him for that,” she said.
